THE GREELEY LETTER are archival museum-quality color prints of President Abraham Lincoln’s original handwritten 3-page letter to New-York Tribune editor, Horace Greeley, sent by Lincoln to rival National Intelligencer editor, James C. Welling, who published the letter the next day. The Greeley Letter prints were reproduced from Welling’s editor-copy print, by James C. Welling’s great-granddaughter, who printed and designed the elegant linen bound tri-folio with an embossed cover with Lincoln’s iconic signature and famous words “I would save the Union”.
